Caterpillar Names First Woman to Top Ranks

Denise JohnsonEquipment maker Caterpillar, Inc. named Denise Johnson as Group President of its mining equipment division effective April 1. Previously, she served the company as Vice President responsible for the material handling division.

Before joining Caterpillar in 2011, Ms. Johnson spent 22 years of her career at General Motors Co. She has master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and business from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
