NORWESCAP, a nonprofit community action agency in New Jersey, will hold an employment readiness training on December 3rd. This training is free and is open for women who have lost their primary source of income due to events such as the death or disability of the spouse, divorce, or separation.
The training will assist women prepare for a return to the workforce. It includes a 50-hour computer training program, confidence-building workshop, career counseling, job search skills, and referrals to community resources.
NORWESCAP’s Career & Life Transitions Center provides this employment readiness training as part of its services to women who have ended a long-term relationship, women with spouses who have been actively deployed, and women who must be the breadwinner when their spouse has become unemployed.
