The UPS Foundation, on behalf of UPS, announced that the company will donate $1 million to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). This commitment aims to provide leadership development opportunities to young women around the world, particularly in Africa, Latin America, and the Arab world.

UPS has supported WAGGGS since 2004 in building global programs focusing on leadership, advocacy, environmental sustainability, economic development, and volunteerism.

According to Eduardo Martinez, President of The UPS Foundation, “Education and leadership development are central to economic empowerment.” He added that, “We are helping WAGGGS reach its network of more than 10 million girls and young women in 145 countries across five regions of the world. Our partnership with WAGGGS has enriched the lives of thousands of girls and young women ensuring they are provided the resources to become leaders and advocates in their communities and beyond, spurring economic development globally.”
