Ashland Community and Technical College will host a leadership conference for young women at its East campus On October 14-15, 2014. Hundreds of high school junior female students are expected to join the two-day conference where they’ll learn and be inspired on fulfilled lives and rewarding careers.
Local, regional, and national women leaders are invited to share their business, civic and lifestyle skills to teenagers on the verge of adulthood. The attendees will participate in breakout sessions led by experts on finance, careers, social media, fitness and health. Keynote speaker Julie Marie Carrier will talk about leadership, character and confidence.
According to Karen Coburn, ACTC’s director of workforce solutions and conference committee chair woman, “They leave feeling empowered that they can do anything, that they can follow their dreams. They have a starting point to follow their dreams.”
